Red Clark, Tom Jones, and Billy Haynes rode into Martinez, three young cowboys looking for some fun and hoping to land jobs at the Double X. Their first stop was the sheriff's office. It was Red's policy to leave his guns at the sheriff's office when he was new in a town as a sign that he wasn't looking to cause trouble. But, through a series of misunderstandings at the livery and the saloon, they soon found themselves forking borrowed horses and hightailing it out of town as wanted men being pursued by a swarm of galloping punchers.
