Jeff Royal took his wife Connie to Montreal on a short business trip. She came back ... brutally tortured to death ... apparently the victim of a Canadian Separatist group called FLQ. After months of drink and despair, Royal pulled himself out of the abyss, and eventually found himself jetting between Montreal, Atlanta, and Miami - searching for the reason for Connie's murder. Then justice, or failing that, simple revenge. And in the search, he became a target himself.
