In today's feminist society, AJ is the imperfect heroine. The suicide of her husband strips AJ of everything that she knew and leaves her wondering who she is. Unmoored by the loss AJ flees the confines of a life she no longer recognizes. With nothing more than her Jeep and a flicker of something more than the sadness she leaves a life too defined by her dead husband. Though sadness is her constant companion the challenges and adventures of a life on the road start to bring back the color to her world. AJ battles her demons and along the way finds the resilience and strength to live again but this time, on her own terms.
