Alien spaceships have been detected and they are headed directly towards Earth. Nearly a thousand of them! Where do they come from? What do they want? Are they friendly?Commander Duggan is part of a fleet of earth vessels, sent in a show of Earth strength, to find out what the aliens want. But the aliens remain silent forcing an attack to take place. Duggan is one of the casualties in the successful battle and as a result he is forced to leave his commission believing he may never fly in space again. Offered a job on Tandara, a geosynchronous satellite of Earth, he readily accepts the opportunity to get out into space once more. But the simple task of overseeing an election soon turns complicated as various powers try to take over the geo city and get rid of Duggan. Finding an ally in the beautiful Tamzin, an operative for the United Nations, they work together to try sort out the complex machinations of powerful interests. Can Tamzin and Duggan outwit a team of hired killers, a squad of bodyguards and several assassins while they try to ensure that the election is decided in favour of the right candidate?
