K2 BASE CAMP TREK IS CONSIDERED ONE OF THE WORLD GREAT TREKS IN KARAKORAM MOUNTAIN RANGES WITH VIEWS OF FIVE MORE THAN EIGHT THOUSAND METER HIGH MOUNTAINS IN THE HEART OF KARAKORAM.

K2 base camp trek was on my bucket list ever since the trekking bug bit me and for a long time I thought it would be impossible for me to go on this trek because of the high costs involved. The average cost starts from 1000 USD to upwards of 5000 USD per person. This cost doesn't include personal equipment and covers the food, camps and some transport. Although this budget might not be much for few but most of the low budget adventurers find it too much to spend this amount on a two-week trek. This high cost barrier limits the number of tourists on the K2 Trek despite it being one of the most challenging and rewarding treks in the world. While doing the K2 trek and managing it Independently without tour operators, i learned a lot about the inside stories about this trek and the people.
