The children had fun playing in the evening of the picnic, all except for Meredith, who never lets games just be fun. Instead, spending her time cheating and doing whatever it would take to be "it" and become the witch on top of the hill. Disobeying, she found herself in a witch's den, thinking that it was a trick her grandmother and Aunt Milly had put together to scare her into having better behavior. Shocked at the truths that would come out this night of changes and learning more about curses than she ever wanted to know, Meredith would soon find out she had a whole new view of staying with the boundaries, as well as playing fair.
