It is a process of giving the client an opportunity to grow, develop and to understand and discover himself and make appropriatechoice. Recognizing the worth acceptance of the individual regardless of his/her circumstances, encouraging self-determination, self help as a means of growing in self confidence, and the ability to take on more responsibility for one's own affairs, the client must be able to make freedom of appropiate choices, and consider how his/her choice may affect others, building confidential relationship is given trust, assume that all information is given trust. Being empathetic, you must be sensitive to the client's feelings, but put yourself in the client's position. It helps if you understand your strengths and weaknesses. You must be genuine and not defensive . Be open, real and honest. THe act of building a helping relationship may include: making yourself approachable, genuine and warm, be sensitive, listen attentively, spending time, listening to and talking with your client, explaining the rules of the relationship. SO, any one social worker needs to know what his/her role plays in different situation where he/she may display an unhelpfulresponse in a poor conseller relationship as him/her consellinf challenges to some clients. The ethics of a social worker may include that respecting the faith in the capacity of the client to advance towards his/her goals, base your relations with others on theirqualities as individuals, without distinction as to race, color or economic or social status. Don't invade the personal affairs of another individual without his/her consent, except in an emergency, where you must act to prevent injury to him/her or to others. Listening and accepting the differences and opinions of another person on a genuine attempt to understand the whole person, his/her situation andc what it means, constantly try to seek understanding and control yourself, your attitude and the prejudices with may affect your relationships. Why do clients demand to choose your social conselling service? It is common to find clients feel these immediate material assistance, e.g. experiencing financial difficulties, experiencing family relationship financial difficulties. So, your clients need to find one dependable and confidential social workers to help them to deal with life, provision of welfareservices, engage in growth providing job activities and make effective decisions to help them to solve any one of these challenges. Natually when people have a problem, they look for help. Usually they think they have no capacity to solve their problems unless someone helps them to do so. Social workers must make the role of their work clear when they are approached by a client. Their role is to assist the client to know they need help and where they can get it. Usually clients expect the social worker must assist them to re-examine the same problem general times, and consider possible the best solution to it.
