Man seems to believe more in the powers of devils and witches than the ultimate authority which has been made available to him through Jesus Christ; even when these devils are terrified by the havoc that the least among true believers can wreck in their kingdom. "The devils also believe, and tremble, James 2:19. In Exodus 8:19, the magicians of Egypt saw the signs from Moses and said, "This is the finger of God." In other words, this has measured up to what can be classified among the least things that God can do. Whereas from Exodus 15:6 and Deuteronomy 26:8, we see that the people believed these acts were by the mighty outstretched right hand of God. In other words, they think God must have put in so much effort to achieve the acts. In Luke 11:14-15, the people attributed the work of God to the power of devils. Here they seem to have gone from downgrading the power of God to upgrading the power of devils.
