LET'S DEFINE A 'dream job' in simple, common-sense terms: A dream job is doing what you love to do to support the lifestyle you've chosen. A dream job, however, is not a perfect job. Like any job, your dream job, will not allow you to do whatever you feel like doing all the time or any time, and will occasionally be annoying, demanding, tiring, and therefore not always so dreamy. The moment you start your dream job, you'll naturally be excited, enthused, and anxious to prove yourself. But until you become acclimated, you won't know policies and procedures; you won't know who does what, why, where, and when, and you won't understand who has power and who doesn't. You won't even know who you can trust, which means that an inadvertent misstep can turn your dream job into a nightmare. So be patient and accept the fact that it will take time for you to settle into your dream job just as it will take time for your dream job to settle into you. But so what? You'll have what you've always wanted and, with time and patience, you'll ultimately overcome the uncertainties that typically frustrate any newbie. So, let's get down to it.
