Wings Across America is an inspirational work of non-fiction. The author details the miracle of his sister Kimberly's recovery from Leukemia and their amazing adventure to follow: a cross country tour of the United States from Pennsylvania to San Diego California in a 1968 Piper Cherokee aircraft. Kimberly overcame her illness with the help of a bone marrow transplant from the author himself in March of 2001. In 2003, with Kimberly in remission, the duo decided to pursue an exceptional fund raising adventure. The proceeds of which were given to Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Wings Across America explores such heavy themes as the fear of losing a loved one to disease and a new appreciation for life after witnessing such a miracle as Kimberly's continued remission.
