A PERSONAL REVUE Memoirs and Musings of a Moulin Rouge Dancer Michael Frank Katsimpas

A PERSONAL REVUE - Memoirs and Musings of a Moulin Rouge Dancer. An improbable 1980s journey from the Discos of Greater Boston to Paris's Moulin Rouge. A circumspective look at how one's life can move in unexpected, often magical directions when deep passion is discovered. The only son of a working class Greek-American family is moved by the world of dance and embarks down a path that changes his perceptions, understanding and future in ways that are profoundly different than anything he could ever imagine. Set in Greater Boston, New York City and Paris, this retrospective, biographical essay attempts to explore not only the results of discovering new and exciting passions and how one can embrace them to transform and self-realize, but also seeks to provide social context, psychological examination, and even philosophical analysis of what shapes who we are and what we are able to eventually become.
