It was the summer of the National Park Service's centennial. With just a compact car, a pop-up tent, and spirited ambition, I set out on a month long camping road trip through the American Southwest to visit as many National Parks as possible and soak up the rich beauty and wonder only found in the wild. - The journey created a story of its own with episodes of whim and sheer adventure from falling into Bryce Canyon, getting lost in the Rocky Mountains, summiting Nevada's highest peak, exploring rural ghost towns, to watching seals swim onto California's Golden Coast. - As I retell my adventure I also journal my musings from out on the trails of how the beauty of nature inspires me and causes me to look inward. I explore the concept of being unwavering and what it means to traverse my own spiritual canyons. - Inspired by the writings of John Muir and Theodore Roosevelt, and staying true to the fans of my adventure blog, join me on this adventure and journey of self-discovery.
