In his first full book, J. D. Hayes-Canell takes his alter ego Intrepid Reporter on a crazy journey through Middle-Earth, Narnia, Robert W. Chambers' chilling world of 'The King in Yellow' and the giant publishing houses just outside normal space where it all gets put together. Hayes-Canell created Intrepid [along with Shawn M. Tomlinson] for his travelogue "column" in Phenomenal Stories magazine [where it still appears monthly]. As the storyline at "Arrakis. Dune. Desert Planet" was wrapping up, it proved to be a great time to collect Intrepid's adventures.
