The Unbroken Chain takes us on a journey which spans more than 13 billion years, from the Big Bang to the emergence of our species, Homo Sapiens. It is written for readers who find scientific literature too daunting and popular media treatment of the subject not substantial enough. It covers several different disciplines such as chemistry, physics, biology, and history, so that the reader can achieve a good basic knowledge of the whole story. It can also be used as a stepping-stone to more in-depth study for areas of particular interest. It is the first in a series of three volumes, which will cover ancient civilizations, myths, religions, and world history up to the present day.
