Despite the remarkable openness of the clerical scribes in incorporating native traditions into their masterful epics, what remains to us are stories born from Pagan culture, but woven into a Christian and Classical framework where native Gods become exceptional mortals. Just as certain of the literary mystics of the Gaelic revival, the author seeks to make the connection between a lost native Irish spirituality and the sublime theologies of the Indian sages whose tradition maintains the flame of that ancient and common spark.
