Samantha is afraid of the dark and when, in the middle of the night, she hears a strange noise downstairs she goes to investigate but only with the help of her trusted friend Funny Bunny. She peeks through a crack in the door to find a little girl fast asleep in the bed, protected by a teddy bear. In the morning she relates the story to her mother but there is no one downstairs, not the little girl or the bear. For the next few nights, the mysterious girl returns, and Samantha finds the courage to go downstairs. Every time Samantha takes another step toward the little girl's bed, she makes friends with the girl's teddy. With her nightly visits Samantha learns to be brave and overcomes her fear of the dark.
