Jesus Is My Shepherd Major Mcintyre
Jesus Is My Shepherd
Major Mcintyre
This book is written about a Shepherd and sheep story, it is broken down verse by verse as scriptures are used for the title for most of the chapters. This Shepherd's story is not solely about caring for animals but primarily a reflection of God's love and care for His people. In this story, sheep are humans used in comparison and contrast; the helpless being taken care of with a supernatural love; the animals are people and the shepherd is Jesus. In it we will read and study the testimony of David in order to understand the significance of the term shepherd as it relates to us as sheep. In approximately 118 words, this psalm tells the story of the Chief Shepherd providing and protecting His flock. David, though he was a shepherd, was speaking metaphorically as a sheep. In God's blueprint for creation we understand that a sheep could never be a human and a human could not be a sheep. However, this book reveals how the Lord uses David's symbolization of the sheep to exemplify how humans should follow the Lord who is their Shepherd. His love and protection for the animals under his care inspired an understanding of God's love for him and all of humanity; so he artfully crafted in writing symbolically the wonderful disposition God plays in our lives.
