Silver Johnson, despite her magical gifts, does not know the reason for the sudden move to a small West Texas town. After befriending her neighbor, Alexander Ortega, she finds herself drawn to the Castlestone House Estate. Upon learning more about the neglected grand house and its history, she becomes further captivated by its mysteries and goes to investigate it alone. Soon after that Silver and Alex's lives become endangered. However, they keep their guardians in the dark about their endangerment for as long as they can.
