Jesse is scared and torn. Being forced to stay on Justin McGrath's ranch for her protection she is strangely drawn to the rancher's dark smoldering gazes. Against her better judgement she falls in love with the place and the people on it. Something or someone is sabotaging the cattle and tearing down fences around the ranch. Jesse knows it's only a matter of time before the man determined to kill her, will find her and kill those she loves. Justin was furious when his detective brother dropped Jesse off at the ranch with orders to protect her. He had too much going on to play babysitter. From the moment he laid eyes on her all of his control flew out the window. As the days went on he watched her blossom and become stronger, braver, and her resolve softening.
