Farren Conary is a disgraced cop turned private investigator struggling to live up to the legacy his father left behind. When a strange couple shows up at his office hoping to hire him to retrieve their daughter from the grasp of a mysterious cult, Farren sets off for the deserts of West Texas. Upon arriving, Farren finds himself amidst an unsettling and clandestine small town culture that seems to be hiding something sinister. Exposed to the inner workings of the cult, and followed closely by the ghosts of his past, Farren soon realizes that the case he has taken is not as straightforward as it seems, and he may have been called to the desert for a far more insidious purpose. In the Quiet of the Night is an ode to film noir that explores the duality and relativity of light and darkness, and if good and evil are traits we might inherit from those who came before us.
