Moving over 200 miles a few days before Christmas with no heating or hot water, a single light bulb and a very disgruntled cat was not exactly what she planned. She struggles with trying to communicate with the workforce, draw up extension plans and argue with a duplicitous builder, but nothing - no nothing - will frustrate her optimism. Add to that a husband working miles away, builders lacking even DIY skills and very unhelpful neighbours.
