In presenting my ARCH OF TRIUMPH, I feel like having to spend two words about its title which many will remember as the one used by Remarque over fifty years ago in his unforgettable novel. A lot of water went under the bridges when suddenly time made me free to use that title again; and besides, I had no other choices as my story belonged to the Arch just as Remarque's did, and who could say how many other stories had fallen in love with the Sire of the Champs Elysee? One more would've not made a difference. Thus the title stayed.
