The book is in honor of Dr. Hector Ortiz a Pentecostal scholar in the Church of God of Prophecy. The essays are lectures presented by his former DMin students of Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary Consortium in Jamaica. The face of the Church of God of Prophecy in Jamaica is changing. The demographic is rapidly moving to a more professional and educated group. Theological Education at the seminary level is no longer wishful thinking but recently a new thrust toward theological education is being pursued. Dr. Ortiz made this a reality for many of us, therefore this Festschrift. A few of the top leaders in Jamaica have examined the impact of global Pentecostalism in Jamaica and their combined contributions have produced this book that will provide insights and resource for pastors, seminary students and scholars.
