The Neutrality Exercise is a playful practice that increases our emotional and psychological awareness, and challenges our responses to any topic towards which we choose to apply it. How? By tapping into our imagination through a meditative state. It can be challenging to remain neutral on a topic in real time. Using our imagination to walk us through various scenarios allows us time and space to process our thoughts and feelings without the pressure of real-time responses. The more we do this, the more ability we have to navigate what could otherwise be reactive situations. We increase our ability to engage in fruitful conversations and establish boundaries that allow everyone to move forward. It is our experience that doing this exercise repeatedly: -Decreases our tendency to react. -Increases our ability to respond. -Bolsters our ability to establish boundaries. This workbook is designed to guide you into The Neutrality Exercise as a practice. Our hope is that by doing what is set forth in this workbook, you will establish your own practice. The eventual goal is to apply The Neutrality Exercise to anything you want to challenge your emotional and psychological reactions to. We share this tool with the hope that you apply it toward your own liberation. *** This book is filled with exercises especially tailored for Ancient Art Midwifery Institute's curriculum.
