Her Mother and siblings are safe but during the madness she stumbles into her father screaming for his life as he burns to death. The towns people are clueless about who started this massive blaze. She tries to gather herself and her life together to be strong for her family. By chance meeting she meets the horrible duke that changed her life. Love visits briefly but she has other plans for this dastardly duke.
