One Monster Wish Hale's Grade 5 Class

"One Monster Wish" was created from front to back by Grade 5 students at Max Aitken Academy in the Spring of 2018. Students were encouraged to develop their own monster-like characters and write short narratives including details about the character's personality, while incorporating a unifying object to tie each story together into a shared universe. Through this exercise students developed their personal and collective creativity while at the same time nourishing early reading and writing skills.
