Unhappily ever after is a poetic group of poems that tell the story of the author Tommy Gates. This book is a follow up to his first book "Why I Don't Smile". This book picked up where the last one left off and it highlights his adverse relationship journey and the flaws associated with them. He also detailed in a poetic manner the flaws of our current society in terms of shedding light to the hidden issues of this world. In this body of work he takes you on a roller coaster ride into his world of pain, heartbreak, betrayal, and problems that happen everyday, but are hardly ever talked about.
