"You" is a collection of poems that sparked the start of my self-realization. The first realm of self that I was able to understand was the physical. For the first time in my life, I realized that I was a black man in America. And then I realized that I was an angry black man. Writing these poems was like turning shit into gold, molding my anger into an expression of rhythm and grace. The lessons in this book were pivotal moments in my growth process. It's a blessing to share them with You.
