The Calm In The Eye of The War Nathaniel Peter
The Calm In The Eye of The War
Nathaniel Peter
The Calm In The Eye of The War is my next chapter in life beginning with some perhaps fatalistic views on life and love and so forth and some words said on various current events. It starts in a dingy place as my words have had a tendency to in times past but the tone changes and fluctuates back and forth as life tends to, but ultimately ends in a much more optimistic view of things as the poems become more substantial in their aim to convey something more meaningful. Some things were perhaps a bit embellished reflecting on the "what might have been" of former counterfeit interests before the fools gold is realized in contrast to what it is to actually fall in love. The reality far surpasses anything I might have imagined and amidst all the internal struggles of wrestling with conviction and the day to day monotony of unrelenting routine, I find only one cause is worth the fight at the end of the day, being with her...my calm in the eye of this life-war.
