The Little Smoke Stack In Larry V Johnson
The Little Smoke Stack In
Larry V Johnson
The Little Smoke Stack was very happy over the many years that he was at the Water Works in Macon, Georgia. But, one day, that happiness changed when he looked at the four huge smoke stacks a few miles away in a different way. He had looked at them many before, but something changed his thinking pattern on that particular day. He got to thinking about how they were taller and bigger than him. At that point, he did not realize that he was comparing himself to them. Later, in the story, he finds out that he needs to stay just like he is without wanting to change. He learned not to compare himself to other smoke stacks and enjoy being like he was in his particular environment and location.
