Prayer, rather than being on optional subject in the curriculum of living, should be a required subject in that we do not graduate into adequate human living without it. Prayer flows from a natural desire for a relationship with God. Although we all may be more or less convinced of the value of prayer, scientifically, we may even know that prayer will enable you to get yourself, or anyone else out of trouble. Prayer has been described by Emmet Fox, a Christian writer, as "The Golden Key" to harmony and happiness. The difficulty comes for many people in just HOW to pray. In this training program we invite you to join us on a journey of learning how to pray more biblically and strategically, how to approach God's throne of grace with greater freedom and faith, and how to more effectively fight the battles of your life with prayer and how to cast your cares onto the shoulders of One who deeply cares for you. When the disciples made the following request of Jesus, "Lord teach us to pray," they uttered one of the deepest and most universals cries of the human heart. Although we may know about prayer, do we actually pray? It has been found that few Christians (including ministers) have an effective prayer life. Prayer has been called the most powerful force for positive change in the universe. Everyone has the ability to draw upon this power. Prayer is a conscious effort to communicate with God. WE HAVE A NATURAL DESIRE FOR A RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD and if we pursue that relationship through prayer there will develop a life-transforming two-way communication process. In this strategic planning and development training program model we will talk about steps to be taken and disciplines for participants to align their will to God's will and hear God's words for them, and begin to experience God's divine action plan at work in their life. Together we'll walk through some of the most important foundational passages and truths in the Bible regarding prayer. We will discuss the importance of properly preparing our hearts so we can boldly approach God in prayer assured of His love for us as well as His grace and mercy.
