In Papua New Guinea, a house symbolise a person's life. A house shows status and defines a person's standing in the community. To be invited into a person's house means that the person has accepted you into his or her life and you are now privy to some things about the person's life. This is a collection of poems that provides a view of the world through 'a window' of a typical Melanesian home. Through this window, the reader catches a glimpse of some aspects of life as a Papua New Guinean. The poems capture snippets of everyday life in Papua New Guinea, its people, biodiversity, development issues, politics and spirituality.
