Riz's Righteous Reveal Sarah Andino

Riz, a baby roseate spoonbill, is left alone in her nest when her parents are off searching for food. She steps out of the protection of her nest and immediately sees a flamingo. She falls in love with the flamingo but things don't exactly go Riz's way. Riz will meet a few birds and question a few things in this story. The story is illustrated by Max Connolly, a sixth grade student who was in Mrs. Andino's fourth and fifth grade class over a two year period. Max is a good writer and a talented artist, so it only made sense that Max would take on the project of illustrating Mrs. Andino's first book.
