The Lie and the Light examine the impact of six lies that have shaped beliefs that drive partisan politics. Washington has become dysfunctional, gridlocked, immobilized by internal strife and the blurring of lines of authority among the three branches of government. We have become a nation of disconnected values and beliefs. Young adults so hyper-sensitive that they seek refuge in safe zones, lest they be traumatized by words and ideas they find offensive. In their minds disagreement equates hate; labels are pinned on anyone who dares to disagree. Free speech stifled by lemmings afraid to think for themselves. Socialism is on the rise. America is in trouble. The Lie and the Light reveals that the fundamental disagreement dividing us is not any of the aforementioned; it is the chasm that exists between the worldviews of believers and unbelievers. It is becoming crystal clear that when moral and ethical principles are at stake, our government will push aside the Law above the law in favor of political correctness, in the belief that the wisdom and desires of humankind are superior to those of their Creator.
