Mike Mullins, investigative reporter, and his family move to Organ, New Mexico and start a new life. They discover that the house next door is haunted by the ghosts of the former residents. Mike succeeds in reopening the case against Jacob Holst, who was convicted for killing his fatally ill wife, Eva. Jacob is proven innocent, but this leaves many unanswered questions. Determined to solve the mystery, Mike pursues the suspected killer through New Mexico and Mexico all the way to the sacred Mayan Temple at Chichen Itza. However, even after the surprising conclusion, Mike still has unanswered questions.
