Anxiously she waits, wondering when her husband and precious little girl will return. As one then another hour goes by, it hits her. He has done it; he has abducted her darling daughter. Frantic with worry and yes, fear, she contacts the local police only to be told she must wait. How can a mother just sit and wait! Little did she know that wait would stretch out a full ten years and even then, it would only to have her daughter tauntingly dangled in front of her for a few short hours before being whisked away yet again. The Long and Winding Road is the early life story of Rose Forster. Abruptly taken from her mother and brothers and raised by a very domineering father. As the years pass, Rose tries to come to terms with her father's "itchy feet" syndrome. Never understanding why they had to move so frequently, often numerous times in a year. Never knowing it was because her mother was steadfastly trying to find her lost little girl.
