For as long as I could remember when people would ask me what I wanted to do with my life I would respond, "I just want to change lives." It was hard for me to set a five-year plan because I just wanted to inspire, and impact people. It wasn't until I fell in love with Jesus that I truly saw that this type of life-changing love and heart transforming encounter was the change that I desired for others to know. In August 2017 I became a college graduate. I'm supposed to have my whole life ahead of me, and the world at my fingertips, right? I could not have been more wrong. I hit what felt like rock bottom. I was at the lowest point I have ever experienced in life. For months, I was covered with darkness, depression, and plagued with thoughts of suicide. Jesus rescued me, and this journey called life, that I thought I was well experienced in, took a turn for the best. This book is a testament to the love that sought after me in that dark place. Pursuit: From Darkness to Light is vulnerable, personal, and relatable. It will speak to those who have walked through tough seasons of life, who are in periods of transition in their lives, and those who at the moment find themselves in a dark place. This book aims directly for the heart as it reminds us that we are not in this life alone. It signifies the importance of a relationship with Jesus and staying in constant communion with Him. I am eager to share my journey with you, in hopes that it guides you to the light.
