Your independence and confidence will become an empowering space to be excited about, instead of seeking validation elsewhere. You see, confidence was never about living up to anyone expectations, but rather affirming your own goals and dreams. Your confidence doesn't ride on your marital status, age, diet, salary or even the amount of events you attend. It requires believing in yourself, even if no one else does. Confidence requires patience, courage, self-allegiance, forgiveness, and an abundance of benevolence. Say that 3 times fast! So where does confidence come from exactly? Although some people may argue that confidence is born from a young age. A growth stemmed from parental praise, acknowledgment and love, and while that's true, it's also fair to say confidence is a state of personal feeling. A mindset of self-assurance rooted from one's appreciation of one's own abilities or qualities. This confidence starts with assurance, choices and self-acceptance. It's about showing up for yourself, every day. The truth is, it took me a long time to overcome the insecurities that weighed me down. The self-inflicted borders that stood in the way of my dreams, goals and growth; dragging me deeper and deeper into the pit of disappointment and displeasure were unbearable. I was never truly shifting into my fabulous self until I stood up to fear and broke up with expectations that didn't belong to me. Only then, was I free from the idealism of perfection itself. For the first time in my life, I was able to start nurturing my inner dreamer and trusting in my intuition. I stopped waiting for validation from others and started following my intuition. It wasn't until I turned off the world's voices and started listening to my own. I allowed my real confidence to show her true beauty, and honey she is fabulous! I created this book to share my journey on how I went from shy girl to Femme Fabulous and hopefully save you years of hiding from your talents and allowing uncertainty to bury your dreams. Because, darling, I know how difficult it can be to show the world who we really are. I know how crazy scary it is to put yourself out there, open yourself to judgement and ridicule. I'm going to show you how to grow from the negatives, and how to use the opinions and judgment of others to your benefit.
