Fish and Wildlife Service, designate critical habitat for the Austin blind salamander (Eurycea waterlooensis) and Jollyville Plateau salamander (Eurycea tonkawae) under the Endangered Species Act. In total, approximately 4,451 acres (ac) (1,801 hectares (ha)) in Travis and Williamson Counties, Texas, fall within the boundaries of the critical habitat designation. The effect of this regulation is to conserve the Austin blind and Jollyville Plateau salamanders' habitat under the Endangered Species Act.
