The smell of damp salty air leads him to an obscure Cape Cod town and a mysterious man with a secret burden. Christmas lights expose the plight of an odd baby discovered in a remote snowy Adirondack forest by a woodsman who is grieving his own infant's death. The Realm Whisperer's final walk along this hypnagogic path takes him to Laos where a captured soldier on a mission to do the unspeakable is forced to fight hand-to-hand with other combatants in order to survive.
