This book of Essays is my serious if not comical attempt to breathe new life into the branch of understanding, knowledge and wisdom, which for many seems parse and irrelevant these days. Mainly because Philosophy for many no longer deals with real life issues, but more academic and specialized ones, of little use or consequence to the common man or woman. I hope to address these issues, by returning to the roots of Philosophy and its True Meaning; Lover of Wisdom. By placing Reason and Logic, Ethics and aesthetics, metaphysics and ontology back on an even keel. Guided by the love of Sophia, and a light from the best that has come before. It was Pythagoras who originally coined the Term, Philosophy, when quizzed about what he actually did. Ever since it seems more and more modern philosophers no longer choose to worship or even try to define what Wisdom is, let along fall in love with her. As such I hope that these Essays are worthy of her love, and pay homage to her beauty, truth and goodness. But I know deep down she can be a fickle Goddess, and only showers her gifts on those worthy of her presence. With that in mind, I bring before her my offerings, and hope she acknowledges, accepts and approves.
