Great Lakes Whisper, A collection of "Great Lakes Poetic Short Stories"Great Lakes Whisper is a collection of original poetic short stories inspired by the rugged beauty and events of northern Michigan. I enjoy writing poetry that reflects what the landscape might say if it had a voice, like a silent whisper. I write using a combination of styles, narrative and free verse. The poetry utilizes the freedom of free verse, as an object narrates its own story (narrative poem). In this collection you will discover the responsibility felt by the Mackinac Bridge, understand the goal of developing Great Lakes winter ice, listen as Whitefish Point Lighthouse recalls the events of November 10th 1975, and become captivated as Mackinac Island and Sleeping Bear Dunes reveal the forgotten sounds and smells of the newly formed Great Lakes region.
