Hoofbeats in the Wind

Lauren Conners' life has revolved around family, roping, rodeos, horses, and dreams. A sudden death, bitter ex-husband, disillusioned daughter, and her best friend's hidden past drive Lauren to the point she wishes every breath to be her last. It's an unlikely crew of team ropers that help Lauren rebuild her life until they too are accused of betraying her. A contemporary western, it's a story of never giving up and battling to regain your strength and life. The author was raised with Shetland show ponies and joined the "big" horse world as soon as she could. She now has the fourth generation of mare's from her original "big" horse. She is a photographer specializing in the western world including high school, club, and association rodeos. The family friendly "The Tagger Herd" book series was her first publication. In the fall of 2018, she released a photographic coffee table book called "WE ARE COWGIRLS". She is a contributing photographer in the Images from Idaho Facebook page.
