Unbecoming Tiana Harewood

After being entrapped by the snares of the beast Becoming, she dug out the fangs of life, sucked out the venom of her past, spit on the idea of perfection, and proceeded to undress her wound. She stripped it of everything people thought she would, should, could be. She exposed the wound so that God could restore her back to her natural state. She embraced her ugly healing process. The most impactful journey is experienced when we stop looking outward to find our purpose. Purpose is revealed inward first, then exposed outwardly. This book serves as a testament from a corner in my closet. Amongst all the things I've done in this lifetime, I found that unbecoming was essential to finding my true identity. Behind the many bandages, behind the makeup, behind the masks, was a foreign figure that I didn't recognize. I went through an identity crisis after identity crisis because I tried to be everything that I, simply, was not. It wasn't until God showed me that everything I needed, I had. "But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us."(II Corinthians 4:7 NKJV) He created me for a work that will be revealed to me when I focus on what He's already given me. My charge for you while reading is to "take IT off."
