The Pacific Crest Trail (PCT) is their challenge. For Kit, it is another trek to add to her hiking accomplishments. For Pete, it is a trek with his new hookup: nothing more, nothing less. Starting their journey in the Northwest, they follow their Topo map towards their final destination, Tuolumne Meadows in Yosemite. However, neither one of them can forsee where the trail will actually take them. Even though hiking together, they hike alone. Their backpacks carry the essentials for physical survival, but only that. Burdened by their individual pasts, both the known and unknown, what Pete considers to be simple coincidences eventually reveal themselves to be anything but mere chance. Their well-planned trek evolves into the unforeseeable with far reaching outcomes.
