In this book, the author, referencing the teachings of C. S. Lewis, Francis Schaeffer, Oswald Chambers and Jonathan Edwards, encourages us to look beyond the basics of our knowledge of God derived from men, to the source of our faith, God, Himself. It is the Spirit of Jesus Christ that captures our attention even as He embraces our hearts, our minds, and our beings. The religious leaders spoke of the apostles as "These that have turned the world upside down" (Acts 17:6). A radical Christianity is a life understood only by those who know Christ as Lord and Master of all life-both physical and spiritual. It is a calling by the power of the Holy Spirit for us to leave our nets and our collections to follow Him. We swim upstream against the current of this world-meeting and warning those on the path to destruction. If we never catch sight of the victory Jesus gained for us in this world, then we believe in vain. In every generation, He is calling His saints, and by His grace, working faith in us with power not only to believe but to suffer for the sake of His name and the gospel.
