A true story of survival and the meaning of faith, JUDE centers on Jacob Fishkin, whose entire family perished in the Holocaust, and his desire to have his beloved sister Sarah's diary, which he was miraculously reunited with after the war, preserved and dramatized as a testament to her life and her love of drama. Jacob convinces a theatre professor, Alan, and his students to build a play that will change all of their lives. Weaving back and forth in time, the play grapples with two communities, the Fishkin family during World War Two and their struggle for survival, and Jacob and Alan and their new friendship which is being forged as 9/11 explodes around them. JUDE is a elegy for the essentialness of art, friendship, and love.
