When Linda was 33 she died on an operating table. One minute she was unconscious. The next she was watching the doctors and nurses scurry about trying to revive her. She was watching from above, though still in the room. The staff were moving very quickly. A crash cart was brought in. Linda looked on with no real feelings about the situation. If they were successful, she would live. If not, she would not. It didn't matter to her either way. She started to expand. She could now see into the adjoining rooms and hallways while still being right there with her body. That's all it was now. A body. She didn't need it. She kept expanding. She could see her patient room. Her husband was being told to remove her things from the room. She wouldn't be coming back. If she survived the surgery, she would be sent to ICU. They didn't know yet that she was currently dead. She was part of everything now. She was part of the city, yet still in that room. There is no adequate way to describe it. Then she started shrinking. It was fast. Lightening fast. Then she was unconscious again. She woke up in ICU. She was getting a whole blood transfusion. It was the 2nd of many she would receive over the next week. She was not out of the woods. Linda changed that day. Her attitudes and ideas about life and death changed. She learned that she needed to learn so much more. Her recovery was slow, but she immediately began reading every spiritual and self-help book she could find. She wanted to understand. The top few rungs/steps are the Green Zone. All the different stages of life are full of these ladders. When a child learns to walk, it starts in the red and slowly moves to the green zone of being a skilled walker. It's a struggle, but not a fight. And the child keeps at it, ever striving for the green zone of being able to walk with ease. When you start a new job, you start in the red zone and there is much to learn, but you strive to climb the ladder to the green zone where things go easy. But sometimes we get trapped in the red zone and it all keeps being hard. That's what this book is for. Helping you reach the Green Zone and recognize when you're there.
