Max Kugar is a dealer in vintage sporting and military treasures, a veteran of Afghanistan combat, and owns a history of heartbreak with women named Carolyn.




Another Carolyn, a unsuccessful actress, retains Kugar to broker the sale of her priceless Japanese sword inherited from her grandfather. He obtained the sword at the end of WWII under mysterious circumstances.




Now Kugar must broker the sword without attracting the attention of the Japanese or US Governments and elude Carolyn's psychopath brother and his drug cartel partners, who are determined to own the sword for their own devices--at any cost--and killing anyone in their way.
