Trapped on land, Clarence befriends Julie and decides to help her. But when his plan backfires he's carted off in a straitjacket, while Julie prepares for her engagement party. With only hours left, he must discover the secret that will free them both before Julie is pressured into a life she doesn't want and he is locked away in a psychiatric hospital, never to return to the sea.
